01 · What we use it for
Machine tending and beyond.
The OB7 is mostly a machine-tending cobot — loading and unloading lathes, feeding bar to non-bar-fed setups, palletizing finished parts. Because it’s trained by demonstration (you grab the arm and walk it through the motion), we redeploy it across machines as production schedule demands.

02 · Why a cobot vs traditional robot
Flexibility beats raw speed.
A traditional industrial robot runs faster on a fixed task — but reprogramming is a multi-day project requiring a controls engineer. For a job shop with rotating production schedules, that’s the wrong trade. The OB7 redeploys in hours by demonstrating the new motion to the arm directly.
Cobots also operate safely alongside humans — built-in force monitoring stops the arm on contact. We don’t need a fenced cell, which means the OB7 sits between operating machines instead of in a dedicated automation footprint.
