Two-unit pair of 4-axis vertical machining centers — our daily-driver mills for plate work, brackets, fixtures, and prototype runs. 31.49″ × 17.71″ × 20.1″ envelope, 15,000 RPM spindle, through-spindle coolant, probe + tool-touch sensors. Reliable, fast turnaround, accurate.
01 · Sweet spot
The shop’s plate & bracket workhorse.
Two DNM-4500-S units handle the steady-state of standard machining work — plate parts, brackets, fixtures, prototype runs, and any 3-axis or 4-axis program that doesn’t need 5-axis simultaneous motion. Through-spindle coolant lets us push deep-hole drilling and challenging materials. Probe + tool-touch keep cycle accuracy tight without operator intervention.
- Aerospace plate brackets — 7075-T7, Ti-6Al-4V. AS9102 FAI ready.
- Defense fixture & mount hardware — 4140, 17-4PH, MIC-6.
- Optical mounting plates & sensor frames — MIC-6, ATP-5 cast plate.
- Prototype work — fast turnaround, single-fixture cycles, in-process probing for first-article confirmation.
02 · When NOT to pick this
Wrong-fit jobs.
- 5-sided / simultaneous 5-axis work → Kitamura Mytrunnion or Doosan DVF 5000.
- Large plate (>31″ X) → Haas VF-6 (64×32×30).
- Bar / cylindrical work → Doosan SMX or one of our lathes.
- Lights-out volume runs → DVF 5000 with 8-pallet pool.
