Polished carbide, 35° helix end mills; PCD for high volume
Machines like 6061 (~90/100) with negligible distortion — stress-free cast structure stays put. Watch for occasional casting porosity that can surface as pinholes; not for vacuum/pressure-tight parts. Strength is modest (24 ksi UTS, far below 6061-T6) — spec it for dimensional stability, not load.
